About me

I have been working as a therapist in various different settings for 11 years. I have experience with Meridian drug and alcohol services, Marie Curie Hospice bereavement team and with the Glasgow Eating Disorder Support group.

I choose to do my initial diploma in person-centred counselling as I felt that the basic principals it offers to clients are the most personal and allow space for real growth. Person centred therapy focuses on the core conditions of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard.

After 6 years of gaining experience with clients, I decided to expand my skill set and started my diploma in sex and relationship therapy. I chose this field as I felt that there was a gap in the services offered to people struggling from sexual issues. By offering psychosexual therapy I allow my clients the opportunity to explore their worries and desires in a safe space geared to focusing on these specific issues.
